we meed a instant messager on this sight plus a way to send mail or comments to more than one friend at a time would be great to send it to all at once on both would make this sight so much easier i am not onalot due to this problems but love it just the same ttyl thank u for everything byeeeeee

Also, a different format of layouts would be nice. They seem more like "skins" than actual formats or layouts.

Control panel "Note book" for each member to keep notes on people and places on Social Splash and include tags for each entry.

just a thought.

I like Darren's idea, that's actually pretty damn note. Personal Notebook?

-A section to display who has the highest "splash" points. Or maybe the top 50 splash point members.

-Some rich text options in the forums and profile "about me".

-A *reply w/ quote* function in the forums.

-Forum Moderators

-Profile marshals (my own idea) A person(s) that review profiles to weed out the possible "fakes". This could be set up in a manor so that the person managing the profile has a few options to prove they are not fake. Submit a salute in a "fakers" forum either here or on a fakers website (preferably here), or upload a salute photo into a special section in their folder. I don't think salutes should be mandatory unless these "marshals" think it is.

...I'll have a few more ideas tomorrow.

Definetly need a way to get music, i already have music but it is through another website, also i would like the background image to be thw whole page or at least be able to cover the whole page, i do not like the 3 inch thick color borders on the side lol. I would also like the latest pics added box gone, it looks odd just sitting there. Beside that i love it, i love going to a site where i don't have to deal with dirty ads and spammers. Job well done. We just need a way to expose this to more people, and i don't know about your server situation but be prepared to make it larger.

p.s: my input may seem like i just want it to be another myspace but that is what it needs to be and more if this site is gunna make it! I'm all for it though. Go Social Splash!

I like the idea of having a place that tells who has the most splash points ( like top 100) or something..

Also more ways to get splash points ( thats not why I am on the site) but it would make more people join.

Also you can make it where you have to be an active member or you get penalized ( like if you don't post a few things within 1 month, you either lose 50-100 splashpoints or something... Make it were people have to be active and not just have an account.

i def think that the normal forum functions like quotes and sigs and post count and stuff shuld be implemented.

and mods are definitely needed, i already see people selling stuff, and im sure all the internet arseholes are sure to make there way here soon enough.

I Deffinatly think they should add artists so we can have some muxic in our page.
and if we have some one that wants to be our friend it should be in friend requests.
and they should alow us to putt all our pictures private. and have some types of codes to hide stuff on our page like myspace "D

i tried to upload some pics but it went to a blank page. the same thing happened to my friend ellie but eventually it let her upload. sooo if that could be fixed.

So basically what people are saying is, "Make this like Myspace, because being its own thing is boring since I'm so used to a certain look and more features."

I think it's fine the way it is, since it just started. But over time, it can evolve, just like MySpace did. It's not MySpace, and you really can't copy MySpace because then you'd have basically two versions of the same site, and that's not really what the premise of this site is.


There is an option to display birthdays on the profile... if the user decides not to have it showing, then there's basically nothing you can do about knowing someone's birthday. And there are music players like dizzler and Project Playlist that you can HTML onto your profile, like 80% of MySpace users do anyway. So for now, just stick with that... or learn HTML and code a song from your computer onto your page (but then people might get annoyed and not come to your page because they can't stop the song from playing).

And for now, the forum(s) isn't/aren't "big" enough to need more than just one Moderator for the time being, in my opinion. I mean, one moderator besides our wonderful Admin, that is. But once the site starts evolving, then we could open it up to more... but allow them to moderatr more than just "one forum" like what has been suggested. Because what if that particular one doesn't get much activity? That Moderator would be out of a job and that's not good.

Also, the thing about "Profile Police" or whatever they were called... not just anyone should be allowed to do that. A lot of people might abuse powers or take them for-granted, and act all big and bad because "I don't like your profile, I can change it" sort of thing. It should be open to only a selected few responsible individuals who can somehow "prove" that they're worthy of holding that kind of responsibility.


Well, that's basically all the comments I have for this. Good ideas though.

i personally know more about us culture than most us citizens ....how much do you know about mine(australia)
if you broaden yopur horizens it would have to increase your membership.

not sure if this was requested already but i think adding a profile field for us to edit, probably max of 255 characters, for a forum signature when we post here on the boards would be sweet.
perhaps even being able to set a seperate forum main pic and a profile main pic.

An approve comment feature for the profile setting

We need to be able to post comments on more than multiple profiles at once. I know there are times that I send a picture comment to all my friends, but have to go in one at a time. It takes forever.
