There are many messengers. I guess the most popular one is MSN/Live Messenger. I think Yahoo is some popular too but Yahoo messenger is so heavy that kills the computer, gets the all power of computer... So I don't like ym.
I like to use GTalk too but there are not many people who use Gtalk. So, I think MSN messenger is best.
What do you think? Which is your favorite messenger?

Undoubtedly yahoo messenger is the best. Although msn and gtalk are equally good, i prefer yahoo messenger simply because its easier to use and you will be getting new feature added every now and then. But of late, I am falling towards gtalk too.

I still prefer YM and are using it until today. I used to like ICQ but after trying out YM, I've decided to stick to them. I like the emoticons better. So many to choose from.

iChat for Mac. I personally feel that it's the best around. Multiple video conferencing, screen sharing, etc. Unfortunately, it's for Mac users only. I don't really like MSN Messenger cause it needs a lot of bandwidth. Unfortunately, a lot of people use that so I have no choice but to use it. =\ Skype is not bad. File transfer with skype is way faster than MSN. I think file transfer for MSN is the slowest.

my first priority goes to Yahoo messenger as i have been using it for the last 7 years and then my second choice is MSN.

I use MSN because it has the most people using it. I do use Ventrilo and Teamspeak for chatting like that too because I don't like the way MSN does sound files but for normal text chat, it will be the leader for years to come since it has such a high user base.

I use Trillian.
Has MSN, Yahoo, AIM, and ICQ in one.
Once I got it I never went back.
Though it sucks as far as sending files and showing/viewing webcam.

i use all of them, aim, icq, msn, yahoo, jabber, gtalk, and more actually lol
thats why i use pidgin as my IM client
has everything in one app (irc as well)

i have aim yahoo msn myspace im and google talk...
i really like google talk but not to many people on are there
i generally use msn
i like and dont like yahoo... i like the photo sharing and such but i have far to many problems with it like it kicking me off all the time... do u guys have problems like that?
