Wicca, as many people believe, is NOT a religion that worships the devil!
i am tired of telling people that i am a Wiccan and them saying "you shouldnt worship the devil, its not the right way to go" and shit like that
in Wicca, everything is based around nature and stuff like that
so, sre any of you Wiccans?

People involved in wicca don't worship satan, no...But they don't worship God either..Why worship the goddess of nature, shes false, she can't hear you she isn't there...People that say Wicca are devil worshipers, say so because most of those people are Christian and the bible talks about witches and the like, and it is of satanic influence.. I have a sister who was into wicca the occult and let me tell you she isn't a happy girl..She talks about seeing things scary things..There have been cases of many people who were into wicca who have been attacked by demonic forces and they have gotten rid of everything, ouigi boards, pentagrams, and many other objects that are satanic symbols from way back in history and have had there homes prayed over, by christian believers, not by mediums not by white wizzards but believers in Jesus Christ and unless those people allowed objects of the like i just mentioned back into thier home they were no longer inflicted..Most people into wicca or the occult are into it, because they believe its the "cool thing to do" not because its actually something they believe in whole heartedly....My sister does it in rebelion because our dad is a preacher.. You may have your reasons, but I tell you, when things start happening beyond your controll you need to let all those things your messing with go out the door, and you need to pray and get a strong man or women of God quick..I don't mean to preach at you, I just know my sources, Ive seen things happen....Loving nature is fine, but temptingsatan with praying to a false god or messing with things you hardly have a clue in are not cool at all..

i am wiccan and have been so for a very long time.. but slowly im falling into atheism.
but my friends and i have been called names that no one deserves because they do not know the religion.. and even ppl who call themselves witches and go about saying they're gong to curse ppl are ridiculous.
wicca is a way of becoming one with nature, and worshipping what's around us. we worship the what's natural, what has always been there. we don't believe in the devil, we don't believe in God, some believe in dieties such as mother earth.and we don't run around castin spells that harm people, and those who say they do it. i'm sorry but are stupid. because the wiccan rede, is harm none do as ye will. for it comes back threefold.
but i love the religion, and i love the ppl who are involved with it. but for anyone who reads this and is not. research before you start name calling.

I do not follow Wicca, but I am a Pagan. I've kinda made up my own brand of Paganism, pulling what I can see truth in and adding it to my religion. If someone asks me exactly what I follow, I tell them I am an eclectic Pagan with a touch of Druidism. I cannot classify what I believe in because, to me, it would defeat the purpose.
Oh, and by the way, Gwyneth, I respect your opinions, but I have been practicing my beliefs for about 7 years now, and, altho I have seen some 'scary shit', I know what it stands for, and for that reason, it does not scare me. I am protected by the Divine Energy, and nothing bad shall befall me. Sun Tzu, an ancient Chinese man, who wrote a definitive book on war (which is still used today), once said "Know thy enemy". I think you should research a bit more into other religions before passing judgement on them. Matthew says "Judge not, lest ye be judged". I have researched Christianity, and read the Bible. It does have many good morals and sayings, but, even some Jewish people believe that the Bible is figurative, not literal. Now if God's chosen people believe that, then what does that say about Christians?

Wicca gets a bad name because there are many people who claim to practice it that are doing it out of rebellion. Funny thing is they arent even practicing Wicca they are practicing other forms of witchcraft and yes there is a difference. But Wicca is not somthing to rebel into its a highly spiritual experience that teaches love and responsibility and connects you to the world around you.
There will always be people who have a misunderstanding concerning Wicca but its kind of hard to erase 2,000 years of hate and persecution in a short amount of time. The most important thing is to be open about what you believe and to know the facts. Being able to answer questions openly and honestly while not getting angry at rude comments helps cool the initial freak out reaction of the asker.
I've been Wiccan for 7 years now and I couldnt be happier with my life and where my religion has taken me.
Blessed Be!

My best friend is Wiccan and has been for 4 years now. I am not Wiccan myself, but I listen to many of the things my friend has taught me and I am happy she has found a system of beliefs that works for her.
