Each month we'll host couple different photo contests.
Each contest is open to anyone that is a registered member of SocialSplash and has uploaded photos eligible for the contest. We will reward each month's winner with a prize and enter them into our year-end Grand Finale photo contest.
Who's Eligible? You must be registered member of SocialSplash.com and upload contest photos to your account. You must follow the contest entry guidelines. All the photos uploaded must be yours or you must have permission to use them. One entry per person per contest. Photo Rules All photos uploaded must be yours or you must have permission to use them and enter them into our contest. We reserve the right to reject and delete any photos that are copyrighted, pornographic, violent, crual, racial or unsuitable for a family friendly viewing. Photos will be displayed to the public and open for comments and critique. Although we monitor all comment for appropriateness, negative comments - as long as they are not abusive or otherwise ill-natured - may be posted for your photo. Photos must be labeled correctly (see: Contest Entry Guidelines) to be eligible for the contest. Must be atleast 250x250 pixels in size and in .jpg, .gif or. png format. Small photos will not be used in the contest. Photos should not have watermarks, copyrights, names, or text overlays, no decorative borders and not need any trimming, cropping or editing for photo quality. Contest Dates & Entry Deadlines Each contest runs for a full month starting on the 1st of the month and ending on the last day of the month. Entry datelines vary per contest. Please see contest information for Entry Guidelines and Deadlines. Photo Voting During the contest members are allowed to vote on their favorite photos. Each contest randomly displays 2 photos where members get to choose the one they like. There is no limit on how many times you can vote. You are not allowed to use any software to vote for your photos or try to cheat in any way. SocialSplash reserves the right to reject your photos from the contest for cheating. Contest Winners Winners are announced 2-3 days after the month's contest has ended and all the votes are in and calculated. Winner will then be announced under winner's section and will receive a message from our contest admin. To claim your price each winner must provide proof that they own the photo by taking another photo with "SocialSplash" written on a sheet of paper in the photo. If the winner cannot provide proof within 10 business days the second place winner will be awarded the first place price. Terms of Use SocialSplash reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to change, modify, add, or delete portions of these Terms of Use at any time without further notice. If we do this, we will post the changes to these Terms of Use on this page and will indicate at the top of this page the Terms of Use's effective date. Your continued use of SocialSplash after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms of Use. You are responsible for regularly reviewing these Terms of Use so that you will be apprised of any changes. SocialSplash does not claim any ownership rights in any content that you submit, post, or display on or through the SocialSplash.com website. After submitting, posting or displaying content on or through the SocialSplash.com website, you continue to retain all ownership rights in such content, and you continue to have the right to use your content in any way you choose. By submitting, posting or displaying any content on or through SocialSplash, you hereby grant to SocialSplash a limited license to use, modify, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, and distribute such content (and all components or underlying works making up the content) solely on and through SocialSplash. SocialSplash reserves the right to reject your photos from the contest for any reason at any given time. |
